Rasoul Speight was driving north on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in Alpine, New Jersey, last Thursday when police pulled his 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer over for having unclear license plates and an obstructed view.
Smelling marijuana, the police asked for and received permission to search Speight's car. Although they found nothing, Speight, 32, and passenger Gary Sylak, 25, were arrested on outstanding traffic warrants.
While Speight was being processed at police headquarters, a body search revealed he was in possession of 100 bags of heroin concealed in his rectum.
Speight was charged with three felony drug counts and transferred to Bergen County Jail.
