Alleged judge Antonio Scalia claims that the Voting Rights Act is a "racial entitlement." For this isolated, well-paid fool who holds a government job for life, "racial entitlement" means "an undeserved handout from white people."
Well, let's answer this jackass. Where do racial entitlements to vote come from anyway?
First, for white people, and especially white men, the "racial entitlement" to vote comes from God (another white man, BTW), or from natural law, or wherever.
God gives white men the racial entitlement to vote.
But where does the black man's "racial entitlement" to vote come from?
It comes from the minie ball:
Assault on Fort Wagner, July 18, 1863, 1890 lithograph by Kurz and Allison.
It comes from the bayonet:
Recruitment poster, 1863
It comes at the price of massacre by slaveholding racists:
Fort Pillow Massacre of surrendered black troops, April 12, 1864.
It comes from liberation of a people by themselves:
March of the 55th Massachusetts Rgt. through Charleston, SC, from Harpers Weekly, 1865.
