Hate Groups. They live in an echo-chamber bubble where only self-reinforcing editorials -- even more hate-inducing rhetoric -- is ever entertained.
And their numbers are on the rise -- disturbingly.
Anti-government extremist groups reach record levels, say experts
by Callie Carmichael, CNN -- March 5, 2013
(CNN) -- The number of American "patriot" extremist groups has reached a record level, according to a new study, and experts are warning of a wave of anti-government violence.
A report released Tuesday by the Southern Poverty Law Center counted 1,360 "patriot" extremist groups in 2012 -- up by 7% from 2011. The study defines patriot groups as anti-government militias driven by their fear that authorities will strip them of their guns and liberties.
"They believe the Constitution is being raped. With hate groups, things are going to get worse because they feel like they're in battle," said David Gletty a former FBI informant who spent time undercover with various militia and extremist groups. "It's not surprising with their hatred of President (Barack) Obama that there are even more hate groups out there."

"We are seeing a huge reaction to the potential for gun control, and that reaction is so angry that it's hard not to be afraid of what's coming down the road," said Mark Potok of the SPLC.

And you thought the "
Disdain for Government"
was bad -- as practiced and continually encouraged by the Party of Tea.
What gets me about these haters is their double standards. They typically pass judgement on others, for not meeting impossible standards, that often they themselves could never live up to ...

The Southern Poverty Law Center counted 1,007 active hate groups in the United States in 2012. Only organizations and their chapters known to be active during 2012 are included.
All hate groups have beliefs or practices that attack or malign an entire class of people, typically for their immutable characteristics.

And instead of "practicing forgiveness" as their Religious training once taught them to do -- they "practice a blanket hatred" instead.
They typically expect "the objects" of their hatred to live up to some "perfection standard" -- that they themselves have no hope of ever reaching. And then they hate "the others" when they don't meet those purity standards.

Progress and Backlashes
Even before serious talk of gun control began in Washington, the far right was already in something of a meltdown in the immediate aftermath of Obama’s re-election, which came to many who got their campaign news from right-wing sources as a jarring shock. Hundreds of thousands of Americans signed petitions seeking the secession of each of the 50 states. Right-wing outfits like TeaParty.org said a “Communist coup” was under way. The anti-gay Family Research Council charged Obama with “dismantling” the country.
Polling after the election showed how broad antipathy toward President Obama remained in a deeply polarized America. A Public Policy Poll survey found that 49% of all Republicans believed that ACORN -- a community organizing group that went belly up in 2010 after attacks from the far right -- had stolen the election from Mitt Romney. A quarter of GOP members in the same poll favored secession. A January 2013 poll from Fairleigh Dickinson University’s PublicMind project found that 36% of all Americans still don’t believe Obama is a citizen, despite the 2011 release of the president’s “long-form” birth certificate.

Hate Groups. They live in an echo-chamber bubble where only self-reinforcing editorials -- and even more hate-inducing rhetoric -- is ever allowed to enter the realm of possibilities. ... to gain a foothold on their Planet of Shadows.
Their "News" must "fit their world views" -- otherwise it never gains an audience, within their insular bubble of fear and hate; where the vast majority of "outside journalism" is always viewed for "the Government Plot" it is part of.
Unless the Media Enablers/Watchdogs step-up to correct their false rhetoric and groundless story-lines (that ACORN stole the 2012 Election, that Obama is still not an American, etc.), I only see this trend for increasing rage and hatred towards government, and towards those "who are different," only see these trends continuing to worsen.
The Party of Tea fires are burning and heating up their disdain for all-things Government -- and according to this insider report, that Hate is about to boil over.
It seems, the super-wealthy of the world claim their short-changed victims from a very wide swathe of people. Even people wired for fear and loathing. And perpetual blame. And a hopeless gnawing angst, revolving around this vague sense of "Opportunity Lost."
An angst looking for someone -- or something -- to blame ...
