The thing that I cannot wrap my mind around is that America does not welcome immigration so why paint the truth to be catless and cheese covered? This is what the media does. Propaganda. We now have the internet and yet people still believe that we have no poor. Poor does not look the same in America as it does in Ethiopia or other countries but we are working hard on that problem. I have put up a link with some images that are startling that this is in fact America.
The Indian Reservations alone is heartbreaking but when we combine all the frailties of poverty along with violence and wars, along with mental illness, it is something less than beautiful for spacious skies. Let's face the truth. America today is not the America you grew up in. We have indeed lost our way.
When you check out pics..keep in mind, these pictures were taken right here in all of America. These are the poor. This is what is hidden. This is reality for millions living in poverty. There is no middle class. Middle class was having a safety net. People are being conditioned to think they are middle class when the truth is, they are not far from homeless. One illness, one layoff, one death, one step away from the cliff of poverty.. One paycheck away. I don't know how we climb back. I just know some of us are more fortunate than others but that is not the way it used to be. Yes there has always been poverty. There has not always been the almost pride in the poor.
War torn countries in many cases look better than some of the poorest places in America. What will it take to make people face the truth. Forget the debt ! We have always been in debt. We need relief for people. We are our brothers keeper.
Where is the humanity? Where is the love and compassion? Where is America?
