I know this is short notice, but I just got this email this evening from 350.org. They're calling for people to protest against the Keystone pipeline tomorrow evening (Wednesday, 3/13/13) at a fundraising dinner in Washington, DC, where President Obama is scheduled to speak. I'll post the email below the orange fleur de Kos.
Here's the email:
Hey DC friends,
Tomorrow we have our first chance, since the State Department issued their deeply flawed report on the pipeline, to tell President Obama in person what we think of Keystone XL.
The President is speaking to a group of his top political donors in DC at the St. Regis Hotel tomorrow evening, and we want to get a big crowd there to let him know that if he's serious about stopping climate change, he needs to stop the pipeline.
This is one of the best ways to let President Obama -- and his staff and donors -- know that there is a strong movement ready to stop the pipeline. Can you be there tomorrow at 6 PM?

We don’t know all the details yet -- but here’s what we do know:
What: Tell President Obama: No Keystone XL! When: Tomorrow, March 13, 6 PM Where: St. Regis Hotel, 923 16th St NW, Washington, DC 20006
Going to show our strengths at the President's events is one of the most powerful, fun, and timely actions we can take right now, and the bigger our crowd, the bigger our impact will be.
The only way that we will be able to counter the amazing strength of the fossil fuel industry is with our people power -- let’s come out in numbers, and show Obama how important this decision is for our future.
Onward,
Sara
P.S. Bring signs!
This is my second diary, so if I've broken any rules or informal protocols, please let me know. I hope some Kossacks can get to this.
