Poor Hunter. At this very moment he is at CPAC enduring that which would send Kossacks of weaker substance screaming into the path of the nearest bus. I thought it would be a testimony to his strength of progressive character to share with you a snippet of what he endured when Allen West took the microphone today. Please usher your children out of the room before hitting play on this video.

Folks, I'm speaking from experience when I tell you that there's nothing on this green earth that a liberal progressive fears more than a black American who wants a better life and a smaller government.

I'm tired of liberals dividing this country up into little groups, setting them upon each other, breeding spite and envy, and then have the nerve to say and accuse conservatives of hatred.

And out in the real world, I see conservatives giving to more charity than liberals, even though their paychecks may be smaller. In the real world, I see conservatives volunteering at adoption agencies and churches and bake sales and the local American Legion post, while the only charity a progressive sends is a smug sermon on fair share and what fairness is.

When British tyranny besieged our colonies, we survived. When flames danced from the White House windows in 1812, we endured. When the Union split itself into two, almost perishing from this earth, we rebuilt. When the soup lines of the depression stretched down shuttered city blocks, we recovered. When an unstoppable Nazi regime and war machine threatened to extinguish the light of free nations, we triumphed. And ladies and gentlemen, when Barack Obama packs his bags and beats a hasty retreat back to Chicago, we will persevere.

Dear sad, completely unhinged Allen West. He is holding on to the thought of that hasty retreat President Obama will eventually make in 2016. It is good to see that losing his job hasn't mellowed him one iota though. If anything, he has tunneled deeper into the rabbit hole than ever before. He lives in a tortured world of wingnut make believe where liberal American Nazi's storm wholesome conservative bake sales, a scorched earth where progressive meanies walk right up and snatch charity checks out of right wing hands and sign them over to ACORN. There has perhaps been no finer example ever of conservative projection than this minute and a half peek into Allen West's delusional, upside down mind. How Hunter sitting in that live audience kept his head from exploding, I will never know. After all, that was merely a small sample of the batshit cray-cray he witnessed.

To be clear, I truly love Daily Kos and think only the highest of the people who run the place. But I have to say, sending Hunter into this lion's den of insanity is perhaps the cruelest thing I think I have ever witnessed in my nearly nine years here. I hope they have a plan to help him get through the trauma on his return. He is going to need lots of hot baths, long walks in People's Park, daily three-martini lunches and a big fat bonus check. Which, I would expect, Hunter will give entirely to charity.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
