Greetings DKos Asheville and the the community at large.
DKos Asheville on the Radio! We had the privilege of being guests on Asheville's progressive talk station, 880 The Revolution, on Friday. We talked about Daily Kos and our up coming meet up on 4/20. The show's host, Jeff Messer was great, making us feel comfortable, leading and following the conversation well and going the extra mile to really promote the event. The engineer, Jim, provided good company as well.
Local Scrutiny Hooligans blogger Tom Sulivan e-mailed into the show with a howdy and asked if we were going to Netroots Nation. We sadly had to say no but it's great to see Asheville represent at NN! Scrutiny Hooligans was founded by our great City Councilman, Gordon Smith, a four digit uid Kossack who will be with us at the Bywater.
This is the weekly post in the DKos Asheville open thread series that davehouck and I try to deliver every Saturday morning. We would like it to become a hub for talking about our 4/20 meet up to help make this great. So please come say hi, talk about food, talk about what you would like to see at the gathering or what you would like to see us all get out of this opportunity. And for those not coming, (I know, you want to but you live in France) ideas are always welcome.
We would also like this series to reinvigorate us locally and regionally here on Daily Kos. DKos Asheville could give us all a better sense of connection if nothing else. We hope, through this meet up, that we can do a better job of leveraging our orange passion for progressive politics to help elect more and better Democrats.
