Whether you're green or orange, you have to admit that the Irish rebellions have produced some outstanding music!
During my misspent youth I hung out at a coffee house called the Cafe Orpheus run by Sean Slattery. That's where I first heard "Rising of the moon" and other rebel songs. I was also a fan of a local group, the "Howling Gael" who did a great version "Come out you Black and Tans". Of course there were also many an Irish drinking song to compliment the fighting songs! But I digress. Below are a small sampling of some songs from the rebellions.
