Above the fold, one video from Sunday - Day 18, and more video and words below:
Contact information is clear in this video so more and better journalists can start to cover this story. Send this video link and your own requests your favorite journalists cover this. Also - the discussion of the authenticity of the call, and the comedy/irony of the fence refers to the conversation with Enbridge spokesperson Becky Haas recorded in the Red Lake Direct Action to Stop Illegal Enbridge Pipeline youtube.
Enbridge Inc. is seeking approval from the U.S. State Department to sharply upgrade its oil delivery from Canada's tar sands region to Superior, WI according to government documents published on Friday.
In Minneapolis, Senator Amy Klobuchar's constituents rallied and held a press conference outside her office, urging a "No!" vote on Hoeven's S. 582 "A bill to approve the Keystone XL Pipeline". Klobuchar was target of MN350 effort to generate large volume of calls against Keystone after she made statements in support of State Dept EIS that suggested Nebraska reroute is enough, after her appearance at the MN Environmental Congress on Friday.
Within a few days I hope to have some video rendered, edited and exported from Friday's MN Environmental Congress. In the meantime please follow the #RLblockade hashtag on twitter, and urge mainstream media to cover the protest encampment, Enbridge's problem with the route without an easement through Red Lake, and the fact that Enbridge has been reckless in laying pipe where it doesn't belong, failing to clean up spills like the 1979 Pinewood / Bemidji Spill, that pipelines kill, like in the 2007 Clearbrook blast, and that tar sands exploitation must stop for the sake of the climate and basic human rights.
