OK... not really, but...that is something I read, incredulously, this morning.
Oh yes; Ted Cruz is a rising star! There's something happening here.
Oh yes, there is a buzz! But not the kind I like.
“It is an undercurrent and growing,” said Texas GOP consultant Bill Miller. “Most observers believe he is moving very fast toward a much higher visibility. The presidential buzz has begun in earnest.”
And, as the GOP does so well, the talking point has appeared to take root already:
Jeff Judson, a major tea party figure in the Lone Star State and a Cruz booster, said the movement is totally organic and not emanating from Cruz or his staff.
“Yes, there is a buzz about Cruz running for president, but a different kind of buzz than with other prior candidates,” Judson said. “He has serious gravitas – more than all the 2012 Republican presidential candidates combined.”
His gravitas are SERIOUS!
Well, that IS saying a lot.
OK, no it isn't. The 2012 GOP 'presidential field' was ridiculous, horrible, and a line-up of batshit-crazy and/or dumber-than-hammers dimwits, every last one of them losers. Wealthy, but losers nonetheless.
And now, thjis group of nincompoops, which should be feeling some PTSD-like effects from the ongoing ass-kicking reality has been handing them, has doubled down - literally - pouring on the crazy with this moronic epiphany about this loudmouthed teabagger that will be lucky to make it to a second term, let alone a presidential race.
But, let's not get ahead of ourselves: Ted's got some issues with citizenship (snicker).
Is he REALLY American?? I mean, American 'enough' to run for POTUS?
Cruz’s mother was a U.S. citizen when he was born, and current U.S. law extends citizenship to anyone born to a U.S. citizen, regardless of where the birth takes place. The question is whether citizenship is the same thing as being a “natural-born citizen.”
We clearly MUST have a birth certificate hunt.
The article then wanders off into speculation, as if it didn't begin that way, with a couple quotes from repubs and teabaggers hazily contradicting each other's assessment of what is or isn't happening.
The Republican Party remains 110% delusional and at war with the reality we all inhabit.
Since Reagan, the GOP focuses on 'electing or installing by any means necessary' brain-dead human replicas that are marched out for essentially entertainment purposes while a Politburo-like apparatus runs the country from behind closed and locked doors. They don't have ;eaders, they have hood ornaments.
George W. Bush was their greatest achievment and the 2012 candidates they paraded to America were, amazing, even dumber and crazier.
Demonstrating they intend to NEVER learn from their stupidity, they are already advancing this loony bullshit that some loudmouthed numbskull like Cruz could be considered a possible frontrunner for POOL BOY.
He's a teabagger, meaning - specifically - he runs his life and his mouth based on the teabager ideology, a hodgepodge of soundbytes and half-formed thoughts about the evil of government and 'liberals' and his goal is the same as all other republicans: shut down America, implement Handmaid's Tale as policy.
We can only hope they run with this and allow this dimwit to run his mouth as much as possible.
We should make him talk about popular social issues so that he can make the most of his opportunity to alienate himself from normal people with his bagger 'philosophy'.
And I can only hope he continues to act up inappropriately, such as lecturing Feinstein on the Constitution as if she had not been in government for 100 million years.
THAT tells you a whole lot about this guy's MO: as a bagger he thinks he knows more than a lot of other people and feels it is his duty to spell that out for America's own good - because they couldn't possibly know this unless a bagger tells them; and if he's given sufficient opportunity he will do just that.
Repeatedly.
Give this man enough rope and a tree, please.
