Former Massachusetts senator Scott Brown is not ruling out a bid for Senate in New Hampshire, he told reporters in Nashua Thursday night.
The Associated Press reports that Brown called New Hampshire “almost a second home.” Asked if he was interested in challenging Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.) in 2014, Brown said, “I’m not going to rule out anything right now.”

My eyes rolled when I heard about that too but then I read this:

On Thursday, Brown highlighted his willingness to reach across the aisle during his three years in Washington.
“I was the most bipartisan senator in the United States Senate. That’s I think what people want. Apparently they don’t want it in Massachusetts,” he said.
Brown emphasized his connection to New Hampshire throughout his remarks. He noted that he’s been invited to speak in the state four out of the next five weeks.
“New Hampshire’s like a second home,” Brown said. “I was born at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. My mom and sister and family live here. Spent summers here growing up. Have a house here. Been a taxpayer for 20 years.”

Former Senator John Sununu (R. NH), Frank Giunta (R. NH-1) and New Hampshire State Senate Majority Leader Jeb Bradley (R. NH) are also being considered for the race. Granite State Democrats had this to say about the idea of Brown running for Senate in New Hampshire:

Harrell Kirstein, spokesman for the New Hampshire Democratic Party, jabbed Brown for being rejected by the voters who know him best just six months ago.
"New Hampshire Republicans are clearly in a state of utter panic if they are recruiting failed Massachusetts politicians like Scott Brown," he said. - ABC News, 4/5/13
While the state party may think the idea of Brown running against Shaheen is pathetic and laughable, Shaheen's campaign isn't taking any chances:
Last night, Scott Brown – yes, Massachusetts's Scott Brown – announced he "isn't ruling out" running against Jeanne in New Hampshire. He’s planning four trips here in the next five weeks.
This is serious: Brown's campaign spent $40 million in 2012. Most of that went to lie-filled attack ads. He'll try the same thing against Jeanne – and with Wall Street bankers Karl Rove and the Tea Party Super PACs behind him, he could raise even more.
We need your contribution immediately to build up Jeanne's war chest, fight back and win. Our goal is to raise $50,000 online by Sunday at midnight. Can you contribute this minute?

Scott Brown, the senator? We already know what that would look like: He voted against the jobs bills and against equal pay for women. All while voting for millions of dollars in tax breaks for the billionaires and big banks that fund his campaigns.
Democrats beat Scott Brown and his billionaire friends because last year thousands stood with Elizabeth Warren. Now, we need you to stand with Jeanne.
Thank you,
Bill Shaheen
