Joe Miller, the ickiest of them all.
Being the first person in more than 50 years to be defeated in a write-in Senate campaign perhaps should have made Joe Miller feel like a complete loser, but since he's Joe Miller, it didn't. You'll remember that in 2010, Sen. Lisa Murkowski whomped uber-teabagger Miller in her write-in bid to retain her seat. But winning the GOP primary in 2010 is all that he seems to remember, so he's
seriously considering another bid, and has launched an exploratory committee to run against Sen. Mark Begich in 2014.
“For several months now, my wife and I have engaged in serious reflection about our family, Alaska, and the state of our nation,” Miller said in an email to supporters. “After consultation with our political advisers, trusted friends, and many of our 2010 volunteers, we have decided to test the waters for a 2014 US Senate run.”
In a full statement posted to his website, Miller asks for donations and states that he is attempting to determine whether “grassroots Republicans” will “step up and join us in the fight for freedom.”
More like whether grassroots Republicans will step up and write him a bunch of checks. Miller is a grifter, plain and simple, like his role model Sarah Palin. He also shares her delusions of grandeur, actually considering himself qualified to participate on the national stage.
