Following our brief (but merited) moment of international fame as the home of the Big Gay Rainbow I'm curious as to exactly how many Kiwi Kossacks are out there?

Admit it, we don't get this opportunity very often. And despite my slight squeamishness that our international Gay Hero is Maurice Williamson (surely the undisputed winner of the 'most-unlikely-older-white-male-heterosexual-conservative-politician-to-get-an-invite-to-appear-on-Ellen prize), I'm determined to seize the moment!

So, if you are a Kiwi Kossack, a US expat living in NZ and following DK, or any expat kiwis out there in the global political familyweb, please reply to this diary and tell me where you come from and maybe add in something moderately interesting about being a Kiwi Kossack (I'm a Kiwi. I'm not aiming high here...).

I promise that if we get 87 responses (8-7 being a number that many Kiwis now have tatooed on their hearts) I will personally ask Brett and Jermaine to write a song about NZ called Big Gay Rainbow! Promise! Because Jermaine lives in the same street as my sister and even tho he goes out in a big hoodie and dark glasses, we KNOW it is him!

And even if you aren't a Kiwi Kossack, this may just be an interesting experiment in the kind of global reach that DK is starting to have...

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
