I've started to write Diaries here more and more about music and well, a category I call "People Are Amazing." Not as much about politics (sure in comments), it is just too darn depressing!

I do this cause well people are in fact amazing. It never ceases to amaze me what folks can do. And now with the Internet and YouTube we all get to see/experience it. When HD cameras are in our pockets (via our smart phones) and it doesn't costs thousands, amazing things happen.

At least for me, this is the "coolest" video I've seen in maybe the last six months (if not more). I know that is a bold statement, but stick with me.

First off I should say it is in fact an adult woman jumping rope. Don't know whey the title is "Jump Rope Girl." And second, through middle school and high school to make weight wrestling at 99 pounds I jumped a lot of rope in "plastics" and a couple layers of cloths. Heck I still jump rope (I am 43) almost daily as a way to get "loose" before I run 1.8 miles. Often do it to "cool" down.

I can do some amazing things with a jump rope. This, well I've watched it like 20 times in the last day and OMG. OMG. OMG.

The woman's name is Adrienn Banhegyi. She performs with Cirque de Soleil.

It is filmed by Devin Graham, who seems to like to go to "beautiful" places and film people doing "amazing" things. This was filmed at landmarks in Budapest, Hungary.

Video below the fold .....

How I have never told anybody how to watch a video online before, but there is always a first. This happens so fast you need to go to full screen. Second, I know people have short attention spans and a 1:51 video is too long, so go to :55 and watch if you fit that category. She will take her hand off on one handle of the rope and grab it on the way around. Then in another, let it fall a few feet from her and let gravity and her force pull it back to her. Wow.

Oh just watch:

People do amazing things ......

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
