Monday April 22nd and Tuesday April 23rd were beautiful days in CNY, there was no way I could pass up going to Beaver Lake Nature Center in the evenings.
Monday was meeting day for the Friends of Beaver Lake Photography Group so I stayed in the center and took photos of the feeder birds and other visitors.
Tuesday was the night for a walk.
More below the squiggle.
Beaver Lake has a beautiful feeder setup. All of the common feeder birds can be seen, some displaying behavior I haven't seen before. Like Juncos on feeders instead of the ground and Tufted Titmice hanging upside down...
Takeoff
Tuesday was a night for a walk. Walking the Bog and Hemlock Hollow trails I didn't see much beyond a few crows and chipmunks. I heard plenty of things, when there weren't other people holding conversations nearby...
Glad these were stuck to a log and not to me...
Then I went into the Arboretum trail. Look who came out of the woods...probably too noisy along the other trails with all the conversations going on...
On the way out I saw a White-throated Sparrow in the leaf litter.
