Jessica Ridgeway
Kossack Merry Light is the great aunt of Jessica Ridgeway, the little girl who was abducted and murdered in Colorado last October -- she wrote a Grieving Room diary about her loss here.
The killer was caught and the wheels of justice have begun to turn. Merry Light is traveling 175 miles back and forth to attend the hearings and then the trial -- and the expense of this plus time off from work (three weeks) is more than she can afford. She very understandably feels a burning need to be there to support her niece (Jessica's mom) and to see justice done. Merry Light wrote a diary this past weekend asking for help but the effort did not meet her goal -- which at this point is about $3000.
If you can help, go to www.gofundme.com/JessicaRidgeway. And spread the news on Facebook and Twitter, too. Thank you so much for anything you can do. There's no way to un-break hearts in the aftermath of such a terrible crime but if we can help a family reach closure together it will be no small thing. Let's help Merry Light be there for the trial.
Namaste.
