I think President Obama should veto the hastily passed bill that would end the forced furloughs for air traffic controllers. Because of sequestration, the FAA was forced reduce the number of working air traffic controllers creating delays and costing airlines millions. But this is but one story of the negative effects of the random budget cuts the congress allowed to happen at the end of 2012 by letting the sequestration take effect. Now they should be forced to live with it as is or fix it all.
By fixing just the ones where the loudest screams are elicited, that leaves many other hurtful cuts still in place.
President Obama should use his veto as leverage to make congress look at the whole sequestration deal again and bring in a permanent fix for everything. Allowing this change to go through makes the politicians lives more bearable but doesn't do a whole lot for millions of other Americans.
