I've been watching all the clips of the gun violence victims lobbying to get gun safety legislation passed.
I've watched almost all the interviews-from the Newtown parents to Chicago siblings to Aurora spouses. I applaud each time the strength and courage they all possess- to go out and tell the story over and over again- to relive the pain because what is at stake is far greater than any anguish they are experiencing.
And Gabrielle Giffords is their leader.
And I am now watching clips of town halls, where senators are being confronted by their constituents because of their 'no' vote for background checks.
And it hit me.
Confronted is the word I used, but what I saw were angry, yet composed voters who simply could not understand why their senator did not vote the way the majority of the people in their state wanted.
I was reminded of other town halls, where screaming out of control tea partiers confronted their congress person because a vote was made representing what the majority wanted.
Made me feel good.
Just saying.
