There is a certain schadenfreude that accompanies this latest article from today's Minneapolis Star-Tribune article on Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann's failed presidential bid last year. It seems the person who is pressing for an full-fledged investigation into the latest IRS scandal is the target of an investigation herself.
The FBI has contacted two former staffers of U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann’s presidential campaign, adding to the swirl of federal and state investigations looking into alleged financial improprieties by top officials in the campaign.
"Bachmann campaign allegations attract attention of FBI" Kevin Diaz, Minneapols Star Tribune, 5/19/2013
It goes on to say:
Veteran election lawyers say an FBI inquiry would be unusual in a typical campaign finance case. But the controversies surrounding the Bachmann campaign have been anything but typical, with ex-staffers turning on one another and providing dueling affidavits on a range of legal and ethical questions.
In other words, when there is smoke, there is fire.
To add:

It is so damn funny to see Shelly barking up a storm over
alleged malfeasance from the IRS towards Tea Party "social welfare" groups and then turn around and realize that the shoe may soon be on the other foot.
The above article was a real laugher because of the comments. If you take a look at the comments and the votes for the comments you will see that Bachmann is pretty well hated by the general Minnesota public (this is unscientific, I know, but look at the votes on the comments and tell me I am not right). However, there is no middle ground with her. Those who love her really love her and those who hate her despise her.
In the comments were some very salient facts from a poster named potter101. To read them is to truly see Bachmann's hypocrisy. Before you read the section below, please note that Michelle Bachmann has raised over a dozen foster children over the years, which means that she was compensated for her efforts (as well she should be). Reading the passage below even cements her status as one of the most hypocritical human beings on this planet. For a woman who seems to hate big government, she sure has gotten a lot from it.

Let's not sit on our hands in 2014. We need to get out there and drive turnout. Her opponent in the last election, Jim Graves only lost to her by 1%. That was in a district that was redrawn for her in 2010 to favor her immensely. We need to boot her and others like onto the curb and hard.
Her opponents website is here.
