For the last week, Sen. Pat Leahy's Judiciary Committee has been marking up the Gang of 8's proposal for comprehensive immigration reform. Some excellent pro-family, pro-equality amendments (largely from Sen. Mazie Hirono) have been considered - and many of them are actually getting approved.

The original text of S. 744 can be found here. The Sponsors' Amendment is an update to the original text of S. 744 and is considered a substitute amendment.
