Good Morning all y'all.. Welcome to KosKraft, Issue 8.
This Group is for all those creative kossack artisans, plying away at their benches. If you make things, please join, and maybe give us a look at your work.
Today's issue will sort of be an Open Thread. Lots of "life stuff" this week, including the birth of my first Grandson. I've been cleaning up orders, and the house for the housestitter. I'll be heading up North for a week to visit this new wonder, and of course, my daughter.
Before you get any ideas I have money, the house sitter is a friend who lives in a trailer, and is looking forward to a free weeks vacation in the woods. And, we have to drive up, because the airfares are just way out of our league...lol.
Naturally when I need to wind down for the trip, half a dozen orders came in, and I'm bustin my chops here in the shop on Saturday morning just to get them in the mail, hopefully for Monday.
Oh, yeah...on top of everything, the Post Office has lost a package I sent. Of the thousands, it's the first one, I think, they ever lost. Great service normally, but, I have to remake the thing for the customer. Okay, I'm officially flustered this morning....
Well for pix of things, I'm a little light this week. I did get a pic from a customer this week. About a year ago, he ordered up a knife sheath he needed. He was to be deployed to Afghanistan, and wanted to take a special award knife with him. Here they are before he left.
And then, on his return. Not too shabby. Except for some scuffs, it held up. I must be doing something right if it lasted through the firefights. Talk about battle tested...
I did make a cool belt It has an arrowhead basketweave tooled on it. Don't remember if I showed it to you before, but what the heck.
I've been working on a new line of wallets, and credit card holders..no good pix yet.
Well, that's all for now...
All Kossack Artisans are welcome to join the group, just send me a PM.
In the meantime, I would be remiss if I didn't mention the KosKatalog. They do yeoman's work in there, and it's about as close to supporting "local" as you can get on the intertubes.
Another crafty place to hang around...
