From the Bisbee Daily Review: "The Strike Situation"
This Bisbee, Arizona newspaper is expressing great concern that 4,000 striking copper miners might choose to have the Western Federation of Miners backing them up in their strike for better wages:
The dispatches last night indicate that the strike situation in the Clifton-Morenci district is growing more serious. There is an indication of trouble brewing. The report that the representatives of the Federation of Miners are going to Clifton and Morenci to organize unions will not help matters but may result in an unnecessary prolongation of the trouble.
Clifton and Morenci...are pioneer copper camps in Arizona; there has never been a labor organization there: never before has there been any serious labor trouble there. In no other camp in Arizona has there been more perfect satisfaction between laborers and employers until the present trouble. The companies have always shown the most kindly consideration for the men employed and on the other hand the men employed have always been loyal and faithful to the interest of the companies.

Some new lyrics:
The one thing we did right
Was the day we decided to strike.
