Today I have to indulge in a bit of schadenfreude.
A friend who I work with, who is an ok guy other than his rabid right wing thinking, has been all upset at the NSA reading his email, listening to his phone calls, etc. (As normal he is angry about the wrong thing but right to be angry at the underlying cause)
He sent me a podcast where the Survivalist went on a 30 minute rant about how he knew back in Oct 2012 this was going on. Then the host starts reading from the NSA's "the Domestic Surveillance Directorate" web page. http://nsa.gov1.info
Which, under "About" http://nsa.gov1.info/... has a great big banner that says "PARODY".
To be fair: it is very well done and I had a great time laughing while at the same time being sad they were so spot on.
I guess these right wing survival types don't know how to use google or the interwebs. When the domain is dot info in stead of dot gov, that is the first clue. That you can't get to it from the NSA home page is another clue, and the big Parody banner should be a clue too.
I'm hoping my friend will start to question what he gets from Alex Jones and Jack Spirko now. I am not hoping he stops believing them, just starts to question what they say.
