Today, Paula Deen posted several apology videos, ostensibly in response to revelations about her deeply racist behavior in and out of the kitchen.
However, the Food Network star's videos were strangely taken down shortly after going live, with speculation rampant about what prompted their removal.
It now appears that Deen did not want the videos to go public until completion of a cookbook she's hastily working on filled with slavery- and civil-rights-themed recipes.

Proceeds from the cookbook, reportedly to be released within the next 24 hours, are slated to go to the Herman Cain Presidential Exploratory Committee.
"I just want the money to go to a n-, I mean a nice, intelligent black American so I can keep my show and get on with things," said Deen.
