Received this e-mail today from CREDO Action:
You and more than 6,000 CREDO activists recently signed a petition telling Governor Corbett to appoint an environmental expert without industry ties as Department of Environmental Protection secretary--an important first step toward shutting down fracking in Pennsylvania. Now we need to make sure Governor Corbett gets the message.
With blessings from state regulators--including former DEP Secretary Michael Krancer, who resigned in April--fracking has dramatically expanded in Pennsylvania, harming countless Pennsylvanians.
Will you make a call and tell Governor Corbett to appoint a DEP secretary who will turn around the department's pro-fracking policy and hold the fracking industry accountable?

Former DEP Secretary Krancer helped make Pennsylvania internationally synonymous with the massive damage that fracking does to communities by protecting the profits of the gas industry instead of Pennsylvanians.
He fired off vitriolic letters to the EPA for investigating fracking-related water contamination in Pennsylvania, backed crippling cuts to the DEP's budget, withheld the results of water contamination tests from families impacted by fracking, and even publicly questioned mainstream climate science.
It shouldn't come as a surprise, then, that he resigned from his post as DEP secretary to take a job lawyering for the oil and gas industry--one of the most egregious examples of the revolving door between industry and the Department of Environmental Protection.
Now we have an opportunity to pressure Governor Corbett to appoint someone who will stand up to the fracking industry--will you call the governor and demand that he appoint an environmental expert without ties to the fracking industry?
