There's been a lot of uproar in Texas over Wendy Davis's efforts to stall the highly restrictive abortion bill. If passed, there would only be 5 surgical centers left open as opposed to 40+ clinics throught the state. However, all I'm seeing is hypocrisy from Republicans on their views of such government restrictions. To borrow language straight from the GOP on the issue of gun control:
1. You can't legislate morality
2. Clinics don't kill people, people kill people
3. Restrictions only serve to inconvenience law abiding citizens. In this case: mammograms, screenings, etc.
4. Determined individuals are still going to go through with it anyway
