I have an area that is like 20 by 20 feet that used to have this ugly shed. I tore it down when I bought the place. I've wanted to put in some chickens. Well a chicken "home." Seems like the perfect place. I mean I can think of how to eat eggs 24/7.

Now I have done a lot of research, but I have questions below the fold.

The first is my city isn't clear on if I can have chickens in the city limits. I live in a very rural area and to be honest nobody has asked this question before. Can you raise chickens? I almost dont' want to ask .....

In fact I live on the "edge" of my town and it isn't "incorporated." I've talked to the lady behind me and the dude to the left of me. They are all in. Heck the lady, and she is a hippie liberal like I am (like the two of us in this town), asked if she could pay me to invest?

Now again I've done the research and I think I know, but alas folks here are really smart. So I have three questions:

1. What way can I get this and fight if somebody argues against me?

2. Where is the best place to buy a coup?

3. Where do I get the chickens from?

My gut is that I got local, well folks that live by me, that won't mind. Lady that lives behind me, well raging liberal. Guy that lives next to me, well he wanted to build something on his house. I was asked if I cared. I told him it was his land, do whatever he wanted.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
