My mother suffered a serious stroke last year and as a good son I have been caring for her at home. She's recovered well and is generally in good spirits, but is now required to take medications (such as blood thinners) to prevent the recurrence of another stroke.
Earlier this month when picking up her prescriptions at the pharmacy I was surprised to learn that medicare and her secondary insurance (which is excellent) have a yearly limit on how much of her copay they cover for her medicine, and she is now over that limit. Instead of us paying $30 USD for her monthly Exforge or Januvia, we have to pay $120 a month for each of those medications.
Our monthly prescription drug copay costs have jumped from around $100 a month to $450 a month, and our doctor says she has a high risk of another stroke of she stops taking the medicines he is prescribing.
I'd like to ask if anyone could recommend a few safe online international prescription drug websites which we could use to buy her medication at a significantly lower cost than what we are paying now? I'd also like to know your experiences with prescription drug websites if you have any. I'd appreciate your advice.
My opinion ...
I know the government with the help of the media, and likely backed by US drug companies, would have everyone in the USA believe drugs from other countries are very unsafe and interpreted this as a scare tactic (I seem to recall a campaign a while back to stop seniors from traveling to Canada to buy their drugs).
Wikipedia and a many other online sources seem to indicate that people here in the USA can and do buy safe online prescription drugs from overseas, but I am unsure which international online drug stores are legitimate and need your help.
