I keep saying, given the total breakdown of the system, with a handful of (of fascist) billionaires and their phony groups, and all the corporatist (criminal racketeering) cartels like ALEC and Wall Street, having taken over the levers of power, and engaging in a systematic tear down of the last remnants of democracy we still have, I keep wondering what's going to take for people to wake up and shut the whole fucking system down.
The passivity, the apathy, the obliviousness, the apologia, fear, impotence, are truly eerie. It is as if we were being remotely controlled by the TeeVee, or something.
Unite! Union, you get it? Now's the time. BART is on strike. Other unions are talking about also going on strike... Activists, Occupy Wall Street folks, Restore The Fourth folks, reach out to each other and coordinate action. Make the action indefinite, days, weeks, months, until the oppressive corruption and exploitation stops.
Some people say it is impossible; that you can't get all the different bickering unions to coordinate. Some say that because of social stratification not everybody feels the same urgency. That's all been said (or similar things) before every major uprising. It's always the same, in history.
Stand up, grab the banner, and march forward in unity and solidarity against the massive, endemic corruption and oppression by this increasingly brutal and debased system.
UPDATE: MON JUL 01, 2013 AT 07:30 AM PDT
In case people have been watching too much TeeVee...
Reasons to strike:
Ideologues financed by fascist billionaires and enabled by business cartels like ALEC and the Wall Street criminal racketeering cartel have taken over the levers of power, and are using that control to tear down democracy, and to spread propaganda, in order to manipulate, subjugate, exploit, and enslave people.
This situation has resulted in an increased level of suffering throughout society, with more and more people being subjected to economic insecurity, and falling into poverty and homelessness.
The entire society is sick, dysfunctional as a result.
That truth at the top, translate into wholesale attacks on labor, the undermining of workers' rights, and human rights.
Because of propaganda, private sector workers are pitted against public sector workers in a divide-conquer-strategy.
When it comes down to BART, AC Transit workers, school teachers, university professors, fast food employees, big box retail employees, they have all bear the brunt of the actions by this increasingly fascist system.
Therefore, we must stand up, unite, and strike back hard!
