Celebrate Independence Day by supporting the most sustainable resource our veterans who are working on sustainable energy solutions for disaster relief. It will mean more to us than blowing up fireworks in our name and you will get way more bag for your buck.
Donating to the Veterans Green Bus makes the statement that you're not satisfied with celebrating past victories and our independence needs to be defended with more then firecrackers.
Our a non profit transports veterans volunteers tools and supplies to and from natural disasters using used cooking oil and solar power. We also demonstrate how our bus works to support disaster relief efforts, promote the development of community emergency response teams and how sustainable energy solutions can be applied to rebuilding efforts and veteran job training.http://www.gofundme.com/...
Kent's Custom Diesel will be done with their work tomorrow. We will be ready to get the bus on the road this weekend. We have raised about half of the $3000 total bill so far.
We plan on visiting several veteran run farms in Oregon and California over the next several weeks to show how these same solutions can work to make their businesses more sustainable. We're also going to visit solar energy installation businesses, biodiesel plants and WVO conversion companies to document where the industry is going.
One such company is SunGevity.org we met their representative at Netroots and have entered into a partnership that can generate support funding for the Veterans Green Bus. When friends of the Veterans Green Bus sign up to lease solar energy solutions for their home they put no money down and get a rebate of $750 and we get $750 once the system is installed.
When the next hurricane hits the we will use the bus to deliver volunteer veterans, tools and supplies and setting a forward operating base to help recover and rebuild Independently with unsustainable resources.
Thank you
