Many states have passed bills like this one in Wisconsin that require women to undergo ultrasounds (as well as other things like listening to a heartbeat, a description of the fetus, etc), before undergoing abortion. But most of these (I believe) also allow these requirements to be bypassed in medical emergencies or cases of rape and incest.
We know the other side is playing dirty- why can't we? What would happen if abortion providers started claiming that every abortion is because of a medical emergency (or alternately, rape or incest)? What would state thugs like Scott Walker's legal recourse be?
