Serpents Choice's quilt top
FloridaSNMOM is living in one of those nightmarish situations where a person needing medical care has insufficient access to it. She lost her Medicare and can't get her injured neck diagnosed and treated -- so she lives in pain. She is also constantly anxious over getting the $700 she needs every month for medications for her COPD, medications she needs to breathe. Anxiety does not help her breathe easily. Nor does the constant pain.
We are making her a community quilt to help ease her spirit as she seeks the care she needs.
shanikka's quilt, showing the backing
A community quilt contains messages from you, transcribed by me in archival ink on muslin. My sister and I then assemble these words of love into a colorful quilt that warms inside and out. FloridaSNMOM will be able to use it anytime she is feeling isolated and upset. She'll have the hugs of all of you in blanket form.
shanikka's quilt, detail
It takes time and material to make a community quilt -- and it is our small living. If you would like to donate toward FloridaSNMOM's quilt, here is a PayPal link -- or message me for an address if you prefer a check. $15/message is suggested -- although some people give more to cover for those who cannot afford to donate. All messages are welcome! We are 6 messages short for this quilt.

There is magic in each thread
A colorful garden of good thoughts
To keep you warm and help you rest. Best wishes! cfk in the Thumb of Michigan
Healing begins with beauty
Wrap yourself in beauty
Let the healing begin Ojibwa
The messages may bring tears, the fabrics many feelings and sometimes laughter.
Once you can laugh and cry while wrapped in our love, you are well on the way to healing. ramara
Never forget - tides change, waters rise and fall, but a sturdy boat and steadfast friends will get you through anything. You are always welcome on mine. Mortifyd
