Serpents Choice's quilt top -- with any luck, the quilting on this will be done today
Paradox lives with a terrible condition. He has cyclic vomiting syndrome, a condition that periodically and miserably sidelines him -- an attack will incapacitate him for days on end. On top of the absolute misery of suffering through long periods of vomiting, he lives with the uncertainty of when the next attack will occur. It is a lonely hell for him -- and having a community quilt that shows the loving concern of his friends will be a great gift to him indeed.
shanikka's quilt, detail
What is a community quilt? It is a quilt that contains messages of love and support from you transcribed by me onto muslin in archival ink. My sister and I sew these messages into colorful quilts that radiate love. They really do -- and the feeling never washes out. Paradox will be able to rest under his quilt or hold it tightly when he's feeling ill. He won't feel isolated in his suffering anymore -- and this is no small thing.
shanikka's quilt, basted for quilting
It takes time and material to make one of these quilts. If you would like to contribute toward the making of paradox's quilt, here is a PayPal link -- or message me for an address should you prefer a check. $15/message is suggested -- but some give more to cover for those who cannot afford to donate. If you cannot afford to donate, leave a message anyway. Trust that it will be covered for somehow it always is! If you can afford to donate, thank you so much. My sister and I depend upon this work for our living and we are most grateful to you.
