So I woke up Sunday morning and started reading all the responses to the verdict and it was hard to suppress my incredulity. So I wrote a song. I'm putting the lyrics here for anyone who may not be able to catch them all. First the song:
Hunting - My Song for Trayvon. RIP. Explicit Lyrics.
Lyrics:
Hunting
Hop in my car on a rainy night
I'm mad as hell, but I know I'm right
No one is gonna get away from me
This vigilante's keeping his streets clean
I'm on the prowl I know there's perps around
I see ya punk I'm gonna take ya down
I got my piece so I know I'm straight
This mutherfucker's got a funny gait
I'm going hunting
No one around, should I call the cops?
I'll let 'em know incase the shit gets gets hot
I know the law and that it's on my side
This fuckin' punk ain't got nowhere to hide
Oh shit he sees me, I'm gon' apprehend
He's coming at me like he knows my plan
But I'm not by myself I brought my lil' friend
No matter what I do I know this ain't my end
Love my life now, but man I hated Virginia
Mexicans everywhere, they'd pull a knife try to kill ya
Then my ex-hoe: man you know she tried her hardest
Look at me now once again acquitted of charges!
Sure in 2005, I pushed a cop while drunk
But shit that fuckin' Treyvon kid you know he wasn't THAT young
You see his Twitter handle? That nigga' had himself a grille!
If I hadn't done him in he'd of got his own self killed.
I'm going hunting

I tried to keep most of it factual, the rap part is based on reports of Zimmerman's MySpace and the testimony given to police about his character here:
