I've seen a few mentions today of Reverend Barber's appearance last night on NBC's The Last Word following yesterday's 12th Moral Monday protest at the General Assembly building in Raleigh. I just watched the video, and thought it worth posting and sharing with those who haven't seen it.
It's a great interview; and Reverend Barber is as usual a great spokesperson for social justice in North Carolina. This interview is of course after a long day there at the protest; but he still speaks eloquently, thoroughly addressing the questions asked, and making the case to the people of North Carolina. Indeed, making the case to people all across this country who face similar Republican extremism on both the state and national levels.
With the legislative session ending, there is one more Moral Monday protest scheduled in Raleigh for this coming Monday. Everyone is being invited back for the last big gathering; and it should be a memorable and moving experience. After next Monday, Reverend Barber, the NAACP, and all of the other organizations that have been building this coalition will be taking these protests all across the state.
If you haven't been to Moral Monday yet, please try to make it this coming Monday. And if you have, please try to make it back for this last great gathering at the close of the legislative session.
Thanks!
