Not surprised at all about this one.
Congressman Chuck Fleischmann released a post card to President Obama ahead of his trip to the Chattanooga area on Tuesday. The postcard was supposed to insult the President; instead, it showed the character of the Tea Party by misspelling words. Not willing to take responsibility for his action, the Congressman's communications director took the blame for the error filled missive. Not only does Fleischmann not do anything while in Congress, but he's too lazy to write and edit his own postcards, too.
The short postcard misspelled words and made up new ones. The card and story are here at Rep. Fleischmann's postcard runs afoul of spelling standards.
Mr. President,
Welcome to beautiful Chattanooga. We appreciate you are in town, celebriting the businesses that have come to Tennessee thanks to our low regulation, low taxes, and right to work policies. While here, I invite you to visist a few historical natural attractions like Ruby Falls, a true Chattanooga treasure. However, Obamacare is making it difficult to maintain or grow businesses of this size. Even though Tennessee's strong leadership has put us in a better position than most we're not immune to the burdens this policy is placing on Americans across the country.
Best,
Chuck Fleischmann
There was also a misspelling of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue by writing 1600 Pensylvannia Avenue.
Sure wish Representative Fleischmann cared about education. As the story pointed out:
Fewer than half of Hamilton County students in grades 3 through 8 can read at their grade level, according to standardized test results.
