Yeah, and they sound the same too ...
Remember earlier this summer when the College Republican National Committee was going to
shake up the GOP ... by doing absolutely nothing different? Well, now it's the Young Republican National Federation's
turn to remake the party of old, white men into something new and young:
Republicans hoping to reach beyond the party's white, aging core must do more than retool campaign strategy and tactics, say young GOP leaders pressing elected officials to offer concrete policies to counter Democratic initiatives.
And what new concrete policies is this new generation offering?
Well, they agree with Reince Priebus and the Republican Party platform, they agree with House Republicans going with a piecemeal approach on immigration reform rather than passing the bipartisan Senate bill, they agree that Republicans should "regularly be voting to repeal Obamacare," and they agree that when it comes to marriage equality and abortion, they should "tolerate a range of views, even while maintaining a socially conservative identity."
So, what's different? Well, nothing. Except:
"But we have to have a conversation on all these issues so we don't leave Democrats to say we're just old white men and racist, bigoted homophobes."
Good luck with that.
