An app that allows you to vote on current legislation that can be read by your own Congresscritter.
WASHINGTON, DC - Capitol Bells released a new version of its free mobile app today to provide real- time vote updates from the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives. With the new virtual voting feature, users can weigh in with their congresswoman just minutes before she votes.
“My staff and I use Capitol Bells to make sure that I don't miss important votes,” said Rep. Jared Polis (D-CO), who came to Congress from the world of tech start-ups. “I am excited that now Capitol Bells will be offering another way for my constituents to communicate with me and other members of Congress about their views on legislation in real time, as votes are happening. I am proud to support efforts like Capitol Bells that demonstrate how technology and innovation can both ensure greater transparency as well as foster increased civic participation.”
The app, popular with Members of Congress and their staff, sends alerts when the House votes, tracks the official tallies as they are counted, and displays House floor updates and information on current legislation.
The beauty of this app is it can show what the people want in each House District and you can compare it to how the Congresscritter voted.
I'm sure there is some Rovian group plotting to game the app but we own the internet and they can and will be easily thwarted.
