Now this is what I'm talking about. I've always been an advocate of not only winning federal races but local races as well. And I am very happy to see U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D. CT) help State Senators John Morse (D. CO) & Angela Giron (D. CO) fight back against the NRA in their recall elections:
The NRA spent over $11 million during the 2012 election cycle but almost all of the candidates they backed were defeated.
It was a staggering record of failure that had many wondering whether or not the once politically powerful organization has become a paper tiger with rapidly atrophying political muscles.
But like any beaten bully, the NRA is attempting to rebuild its reputation by setting its sights on a pair of targets they thought they could push around -- the recall of two Democratic State Senators, John Morse and Angela Giron, who helped pass background checks and a high capacity magazine ban in Colorado.
The NRA may have been able to get away with this type of behavior in the 1980s, but not today.
Will you join me in contributing to these two courageous Democrats and help beat back the recall effort sponsored by the NRA?

The election is set for September 10th, but ballots will be mailed well before then.
Let's send a powerful message that the NRA's diminished power is nothing to fear.
All the best,
Chris
