Received this e-mail today from Congressman Jared Polis (D. CO-02) regarding tracking:
There is no other way to put it than to say that I’ve been fracked. Like so many Coloradans my family is now the victim of the under-regulated drilling process that is part of hydraulic fracturing. For years, I have met with devastated families and communities that have been impacted by fracking, and now it’s happened to my family. Click here to watch my story:

I have long fought for sensible fracking laws. I have written op-eds, introduced legislation to close oil and gas loopholes in the Clean Air Act, and I have even testified before the Colorado Oil and Gas Commission. I did all this because I knew the horrible impact it was having on the quality of life of so many of my constituents. The unknown effects of fracking are of grave concern to residents; we do not know the true impact this intense industrial process is having on people’s health, air, water and property values. Yet because the rules are biased toward the oil and gas industry, they can operate without regard for neighborhoods and communities. There is clearly something wrong with the law and I am vowing to double down on my efforts to fix that.
Watch the video of what happened to my farm and help me share my story so that we can put an end to other families being fracked:

This can currently happen to anyone. It has happened to thousands of Coloradan families and now it has happened to one of your members of Congress and his family. Like those who came before me I have little recourse under current law to protect my family. The only thing I can do is add one more story and fight like heck for change and with your help that is what I intend to do.
In Solidarity,
Jared Polis
