We liked it so much for dinner, we're going to go there again for lunch! Saladang Song, at 383 S Fair Oaks Ave. across the street from Green Park and two blocks from the Del Mar Gold Line station. It gets a 22 from Zagat. It's fun, and the food is good. We know now! Plus, Shockwave will have an announcement of some import for all of us as activists!
No need to make any sacrifices for you, and no need to reconnoiter either, because quite a few of you have been there already. You remember:
Assorted appetizers: fried sweet potato, fried taro roll, fried tofu, samosa.
Clams and basil in spicy black bean sauce.
Thai corn fritter.
Pad Thai.
Chicken satay, with dipping sauce.
I don't remember if it's the same menu at lunch and at dinner, but it's a menu that will make everyone happy. As usual, you can RSVP in the comments, or you can kosmail me, and susans will send email to all of you whose email addresses she has.
What's better for summer than Thai anyway? I'll create the RSVP list as it happens. I'm meeting a friend for drinks at 5 PM so I'll be away from this for a while, but I'll create the list before I go to bed tonight.
