This year, there are four Democrats running in next week's U.S. Senate primary to fill the remainder of the late Senator Frank Lautenberg's term. Of course, the best known is Newark Mayor Cory Booker. But there are three other excellent candidates. Two are congressmen - Rush Holt and Frank Pallone. The other is the Speaker of the New Jersey General Assembly, Sheila Oliver.
Holt and Pallone are much better choices than Booker. Both oppose hydraulic fracturing. Booker supports it. Holt and Pallone oppose vouchers and the trend to privatize public education. Booker is awash with money from the education-industrial complex.
Last month, I posted an interview with Congressman Holt that I did for BlueJersey.com. Below is an interview with Congressman Pallone, also originally recorded for Blue Jersey.
Disclosure: I'm a Holt supporter and have volunteered for his campaign. But if Pallone beats Booker, I'll be ecstatic
