Republican state rep Patricia Fincher Harless (Dist 126), well known in Texas for her support of Voter ID laws and other draconian ALEC legislation, is the owner of Fred Fincher Motors, which is run by her husband Sam Harless. Rumors have swirled recently that her husband is eyeing the Texas Senate seat being vacated by Dan Patrick (who is running for Lt Gov) and is willing to put up over a million of his own to get in the race. But that may change after a lawsuit was filed yesterday in Houston naming Fred Fincher Motors, several employees, and Sam Harless himself, and accusing them of repeatedly tasering a fellow employee over a nine-month period. The employee was fired two weeks ago after four years on the job.
Disgruntled employee? Maybe. But after viewing video of three of the tasering incidents on KHOU last night, I think this worker was mercilessly bullied at work. Several YouTube videos exist of the tasering incidents (now taken down) and they are bound to re-surface for the lawsuit.
Bradley Jones seems very sincere to me and doesn't appear to have a political agenda, just your average working guy trying to hang onto a job in a hostile work environment. He says he was tasered unexpectedly over 24 times and it got to the point where he couldn't concentrate at work out of fear and was even checking behind his shower curtain at home.
From KHOU “It was unacceptable,” Jones said. “It was hurtful. It was wrong.” He is now seeing a psychologist and looking for a new job. Several YouTube videos (now taken down) exist of the tasering incidents.
The owner of the taser? According to Mr. Jones, Sam Harless owned the taser and shot one of the videos himself. I don't know about you, but I think Mr. Harless will have a hard time running for office while this is going on. He and Mrs. Harless would have been the first husband and wife double barreled team to serve in the Texas legislature at the same time.
