Dear R&BLers:
In our never-ending effort to improve the content on Readers and Book Lovers, it gives me great pleasure to announce we have a new series and Editor forthcoming. So, check your personal streams so you don't miss the debut and succeeding installments.
Please welcome to our Weekly Magazine Schedule, shortfinals who will be bringing a weekly diary to all our Followers about everything under the (mostly British) sun that never sets on his literary interests. Look for him to brighten up your weekends each FRI at 10:00PM ET. That's Slightly Foxed -- but Still Desirable. Talk about your intriguing title!
Please turn the page. . .
Many of you are already fans of shortfinals whose several diaries on British bookstores and pubs with literary flair have been caught and republished to our Group thanks to cfk. Others of you may know him from Whovians on DKos, or because of his DK presence in the various aviation interest Groups. As you can see, this is a Kossack who's been there and done all that. No wonder his diaries fascinate.
As the man himself says, "I intend to write on libraries, bookshops, authors, individual titles, book fairs, online book sellers, scriptoria, etc. etc." So best be prepared to spend your Friday evenings with toddy and keyboard at the ready as you segue from Brecht's Books Go Boom! to the den of our Sly-tly Fox-ed and newest minted Editor.
I hope one and all R&BLers will enjoy!
If you have an idea for a series for R&BLers, don't be shy. Let me hear about it! Contact me via Daily Kos PM and let's discuss.
Readers and Book Lovers Group would be nowhere without its "stable" of fine writers who are producing some of the best content to be found anywhere in the blogosphere. And that's my humble opinion. But content production is only half the story of why R&BLers is the most followed group on Daily Kos. The other half is their story: the Followers and, in particular, the Commenters, without whom we have no reason to exist and for whom we work so hard to make our existence worth their while.
On behalf of the entire team -- including me -- who keep R&BLers up and running, I thank you from the bottom of my TBR pile. All of us behind the scenes never forget that reading is a political act and it's our mission to provide stimulation so that you'll continue to be politically active in a literary way.
Even into Daily Kos v. 5.0, coming to a computer near you in the not too distant future. We started at the birth of Daily Kos v. 4.0; we'll survive the next iteration and be even better!
Other than that nothing's happening.
