The Capitol Police continue their games of Duck, Duck, Goose during the noontime singing of the Solidarity Sing Along. If you don't have a permit, and more than 20 people congregate, they'll cut you out of the crowd like a reining champ at a rodeo cuts a jumpy steer, handcuff you, perp walk you to the elevator, and down, down you go to be processed. Videos are not allowed down there. Oops! A protestor saw that she was being videotaped, and after her processing went back and demanded a copy of the tape. Here is that copy.
You decide, but I think that this video by Kimi Ishikawa is one of the most powerful examples of peaceful resistance in the face of overwhelming and overbearing militaristic policing that I have seen in a long time.

This is also a lovely story about singing in the Wisconsin State Capitol from the point of view of a frequent singer (and terrific writer).
And here is a video taken today that gives you a good sense of what it means to be a public servant working under Scott Walker.
