I avoided comparing them to rocks, I'm tired of insulting them... [rocks that is]

First up to bat.....[shit insane]

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) insisted that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction

~ snip

“There were rumors about them moving over into Syria and other countries but they never were able to verify where they went but we knew he had them,” the congressman charged, referring to false claims that Iraq moved its weapons to Syria. “There was talk about nuclear arms, but we knew he had those and now we know Syria has them.”

Yes we should always decide to bomb before any evidence is found or a report written.

We can always say...

But, but they were there...honestly

.

We always seem to want to leap before any proof has been documented.

Even if we have proof of a crime we are very selective whom we punish [a special hi to the Bush cabal].

The US and France [France for very evident economic reasons] are pretty much on their own in this.

The UN passing anything- not a chance.

NATO- Ditto

Britain- No

Arab league- Not a chance

Even if you want to bomb something surely waiting for the Inspectors report is advisable.

With the Middle-East in near total [internal] meltdown should the US in a unilateral action intervene yet again and get involved in the Shia-Sunni power block struggle?

However over and above this we have elected officials like Louie spouting Bush era bullshit.

Next up to bat.... [shit insane]

Oh and of course we have Sweet William The Bloody chirping up

Assad—despite all this and much else besides, it would be disastrous for an American president to back off from the just and necessary use of military force when he has threatened it and prepared for it.
Never wait, just jump right on into the puddle of blood.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

Obama has been doing his thing competently and efficiently behind the curtain to such an extent that the rest of the civilized world is happy to let him go be the community organizer. He seems to have a policy of allowing his special ops and CIA to deal with mid level leaders directly rather than directing all aid through a few rich fat cats who siphon off 90% of it.

Consequently for the last two years the rebels have been receiving a lot of help from connections that trace back to us up to and include turning Turkey into a rather blatant conduit for foreign fighters in Syria.

Having already having provided the rebels with connections through Turkey and the Arab Leauge to funding, food, shelter, clothing, medical supplies, communications, intelligence, conventional weapons, advisers, and logistical networks, without us back home even realizing that some of those connections are to groups some might label al Qaeda in about the same way some might label pot growers in the California hills as part of the Mexican drug cartels we have been seeking to get NATO support for more air operations.

I think US special forces began learning to redefine friend and enemy with our experience in the Vietnam war, and then the jungles of Latin America Asia and Africa through first having already made all those mistakes before, and secondly intensifying language and cultural training so that we could sit down with potential force extenders; connect their kids to medical care and win their hearts and minds instead of just kill them.

Its true Obama has been saddled with Karzai in Afghanistan along with a number of bandits, drug dealers, warlords, genocidal tribal racists, rapists and religious zealots that are legacies of our covert actions against the Russians, CIA logistical negotiations with Pakistan and other neighbors who will let military supplies pass overland through their tribal territory in return for massive bribes and taxes.

Despite having to deal with the Defense department, various religious special interests, the MIC, unsavory allies, political opposition, mercenaries, war profiteers, bad intelligence, double agents and all the rest of the civil war in a foreign country bullshit we still have a lid on the pressure cooker that is brewing up and distilling the mash for the next major Mideast land war. We aren't doing any conventional fighting in Libya, Egypt, Iran, Yemen, Russia, China, Mexico or Canada yet.
