I believe there IS a difference between the credibility of a President Obama, Vice President Biden and Secretary of State John Kerry evaluating intelligence information from all sources, asking hard questions, exercising judgment and arriving at tough decisions.
I REJECT the false equivalency of so many here that this is no different than a President George W. Bush, Vice President Cheney and Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld same old same old.
It is different. I know it in my gut. Obama, Biden and Kerry are different from Bush, Cheney and Kerry. I am amazed that so many on this site equate them.
Obama, Biden and Kerry are not ones to bang the drums of war repeatedly.
The use of chemical weapons to kill 1429 people, including hundreds of innocent children, is a war crime calling for a response. North Korea and Iran are watching.
BBC News reports: "Meanwhile in Syria, the BBC's Middle East editor Jeremy Bowen said he had spoken to people inside President Assad's administration who were 'cock-a-hoop' at the UK vote [of the House of Commons against military action.] 'They believe it counts as a victory for them', he added." [The Commons vote was 272 for, 285 against and a huge 91 members not voting since many were out of London for this last-minute special session.]
The whole world really is watching, to see what will the good people do when bad people use chemical weapons to kill innocent people.
I support our President Obama's determination to take some military action.
Count me out of the "do-nothing" caucus.
