As many of you know, my beloved father-in-law died unexpectedly this past Tuesday morning. This has caused a lot of stress in my life, including worry that I won't be able to maintain (what else?) my weight loss.
So how do you cope with intense stress and still keep up with your weight-loss plan?
Daily Kos Weight Loss is a community at Daily Kos dedicated to weight loss, maintenance, and support. As with all communities, trolls are calorie-free and will be munched should they engage with us. Please feel free to jump in.
I do know one thing: exercise helps. Oh Gods, does it ever. Wednesday is my low-impact day, and I kept up with that this week, though we did some ambling around town and standing up at the library. But yesterday after I got all my weightlifting in, my head-fog cleared and I felt much better. I also managed to get in a lot of walking.
Also, the scale went back down to 140 after several days of 143 and 142, which alleviates a little of my stress as well.
I don't plan on being around for a very long time this morning, probably not after 11 am or so CDT, but if someone else wants to guest-host or if you want to talk amongst yourselves, please do.
