McCain: ‘There Would Be An Impeachment’ Of Obama If He Put Boots On Ground
“The fact is [Syrian President] Bashar Assad has massacred 100,000 people. The conflict is spreading … The Russians are all in, the Iranians are all in, and it’s an unfair fight,” McCain told KFYI’s Mike Broomhead. “And no one wants American boots on the ground. Nor will there be American boots on the ground because there would be an impeachment of the president if they did that.”
McCain has never seen a war plan he didn't like, to date.
Is Obama being painted into a corner? I think so.
In this diary I present why I think the GOP will make every effort to paint President Obama into a corner.
US, Jordanian, Israeli Special Forces Active in Golan Heights before January, 2013
Taken as a whole, current events on the Israeli and Jordanian borders take place under the seal of total silence. But European information, which some French and Russian sources have revealed nighttime clashes that took place between the special forces U.S., Jordanian, Israeli and Syrian rebels and the Syrian special forces, on the other. Debkafile military sources reveal why they fight:
The information in this article is dated January 2, 2013. Surely this information was known prior to the recent news releases.
So why did the Jerusalem Post decide to wait until after the proposition of a Syrian strike?
I think President Obama needs to address the American people now and bring them up to date on what has taken place regarding the US military and Syria so that the GOP can't play "Gotcha" with facts the President withholds. Then share the goals of plans to go forward.
I don't think people would have a hard time supporting the US and other countries, which already are, helping surrounding countries including Israel from Syrian conflict spill over. And I don't think most would object to supporting refugees.
I think the line in the sand for Americans is NO US soldiers within the borders of Syria, now or ever.
