I would like to thank remembrance for allowing me to contribute to this diary series. Several years ago, I attended a Fundraising Charity Tea. The Tea was to help a local women's shelter & help provide school supplies for their children. There were many tables of various themes. It was a very successful event. It gave me the opportunity to help a worthy cause, and attend a really girly event with my friends. It was also an early birthday celebration for my mom.
I usually go on & on about quilts. Well, this Charity Tea had a prominent quilter Alex Anderson. Alex was the guest speaker, and I blame/credit her for my quilt/fabric obsession. I didn't think of leaving my table during her presentation to take photos. She had a lot of quilts and discussed her process with many fun anecdotes. I've met her subsequently, and she's a really sweet and positive person. Most quilters, I have met are very open with their knowledge and very enthusiastic about the quilting process.
I'll include photos of the table settings & her quilts. HAHA, thought you'd escape my obsession; not likely. Of course, I have to promote the DK Quilt Guild Diaries which are published on most Sunday afternoons/evenings. BeadLady will have an awesome diary tomorrow. Sunday at 4pm (Pacific) 7pm (Eastern)
Any "pie" discussion is not encouraged within the KTK diaries. Unless you have a good pie recipe, pie photo or pie chart.

Kitchen Table Kibitzing is a community series for those who wish to share part of their evening around a virtual kitchen table with kossacks who are caring and supportive of one another. So bring your stories, jokes, photos, funny pics, music, interesting videos, and so forth. Or just say "Hi" if you've had a long day and are too exhausted to participate more actively. We would also appreciate links—including quotations—to diaries, news stories, and books that you think this community would appreciate.
Please note that pie fights will be unwelcome in this community, just as in most other series at DKos. There's lots of space at the rest of the site for fighting with other Democrats, progressives, and liberals, and we don't want those battles dragged into this community.
Finally, readers may notice that most who are posting diaries and comments in this series already know one another to some degree, but that definitely does not mean that newcomers will be excluded or unwelcome. We're happy to welcome guests to our kitchen table, and hope to make some new friends as well.
KTK posts nightly at 5:00 Pacific, 6:00 Mountain, 7:00 Central, 8:00 Eastern.
